At Grand Union we recognise the importance of good design. Our customers demand it. So we have installed in-house technical capability to take a product from initial design, through R&D compliance testing to production and final inspection. An example of this process is our highly original and successful “Bed-in-a-Box”© developed for one of the UK’s leading retailers.
Meeting the challenges of a global market in the 21st century requires a multi process, multi material - metal, plastics, glass and upholstery - production facility. And managing this facility requires a flexible and well trained, multi skilled workforce led by a forward thinking management team.
In order to manage and control all key production processes in-house we have invested in the latest, fully automated production equipment – Robotic precision welding, electroplate finishing, powder coating/drying line. All operated and managed by our highly trained workforce.
